I absolutely ADORE this gorgeous little hotel! I stay as often as I can. It is in a beautiful setting. The rooms are all different and beautiful, full of character. All very comfortable with all of the amenities you would expect. The staff are so helpful and friendly.  Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is beautifully cooked, with lots of options. The restaurant is the icing on the cake. It is wonderful to see the exposed waterwheel. The new chef, Chris, will certainly put the restaurant on the map! Hornsbury Mill is a beautiful place to visit for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had one of their afternoon teas which was absolutely. This is our third visit to the Hornsbury Mill and we enjoyed so much that we booked for  another night. We were greeted warmly by the owner Tony as well as the Manager and his team. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had booked a table in their restaurant for our evening meal and we were looked after very well by Lily. Our meal was beautifully presented and tasted delicious and prepared by their outstanding head chef Chris and his highly skilled culinary team. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant as the food is exceptional and dining becomes an experience rather than just a meal. Lily went above and beyond as she had arranged for the chef to create a Happy Retirement plated dessert as a surprise for me. Had a wonderful Sunday lunch with family at Hornsbury Mill while visiting the area, and what a find it was! Beautiful setting sitting by the old water wheel, with lovely surroundings and a great atmosphere. The Sunday roast was absolutely spot on — fantastic quality beef, pork and lamb, generous portions and all cooked perfectly. The mash was lovely and creamy, the roast potatoes were exactly how they should be… wonderfully crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle! The carrots, green beans, tenderstem broccoli and cauliflower cheese were all excellent too. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful throughout our visit, and after lunch we enjoyed a lovely walk around the gardens and lake area to help settle the feast!
