Your ceremony will take place either in the atmospheric candlelit Cornloft, or outside in the Gazebo in the landscaped gardens beside the lake with its beautiful fountain and curious feathered residents (weather permitting).
We hold a Civil Wedding Licence, allowing for an all-inclusive, custom-made package for your marriage or civil partnership, reception, evening party and accommodation. You are offered excellent freedom of choice to create the special day of your dreams. Our complete and professional service means we are able to act as a single contact for all your arrangements. There is no need to co-ordinate separate wedding and reception venues, caterers, cars, transport and accommodation.

Exclusive Use & Elegant Accommodation
Celebrate your wedding with exclusive access to our venue, ensuring privacy and intimacy for you and your guests. We can accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated meal and up to 200 for an evening reception. After the festivities, retreat to one of our ten en-suite bedrooms, including the bridal suite that offers views of the working waterwheel.

A Venue Rich in History
Built in the early 19th century from local flint and hamstone, Hornsbury Mill retains many of its original features, including a fully operational waterwheel. This historical charm adds a unique character to your wedding, offering a glimpse into the past while you create new memories.
The earliest record found of the Mill is a lease from 1327, which refers to “Homesbogh alias Hornysbowe” This credits Hornsbury as being one of the earliest in the area, but it is believed that the oldest part of the existing building only dates back to 1835.

The Lakeside Suite is perfect for your evening celebrations too, with capacity for 200 guests it has panoramic views of the beautiful floodlit gardens and lake. You will have exclusive use of the Lakeside bar and a disco booth & lights are already in place for that unforgettable evening party where you will dance the night away.
Our experienced wedding organisers will take you through the planning stages and available options and will be close at hand to support and guide you on the day, leaving you time and energy to concentrate on yourselves and your guests.
Outside Ceremonies
There are few settings more idyllic for a wedding ceremony than the landscaped gardens of Hornsbury Mill. On a beautiful day, your special moment will take place outdoors beneath our charming wooden Gazebo, nestled beside the tranquil lake with its sparkling fountain and surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature.
The Orangery & Function Room
Host your wedding reception in style with up to 130 guests seated for a delicious wedding breakfast in our elegant Lakeside Suite and Orangery. With exposed beams draped in soft white fairy lights, the space is beautiful as it is — though you’re welcome to add your own touches. In the evening, the Lakeside Suite transforms into the perfect party venue, with room for up to 200 guests.
The Corn Loft Ceremony Room
If the weather isn’t on your side, your ceremony will move seamlessly indoors to the beautifully atmospheric Cornloft. With high beams, original mill features, and soft candlelight, this stunning room is always prepared as a backup — ensuring your day is just as magical, whatever the forecast. You can feel confident knowing both ceremony spaces are equally special.
The Hornsbury Bridal Suite
Our beautiful bridal suite, located on the first floor with views over the gardens, offers the perfect space to get ready for your big day. Featuring a luxurious four-poster bed, bath, shower, and separate living room, it’s ideal for pre-ceremony preparations with your bridal party — complete with champagne.
